This art piece is an excerpt from the picture book, "The Night Life of Trees." It depicts a fawn wondering under a tree, "When will I grow antlers?" Gond art is a traditional painting tradition passed down from ancient times to the indigenous people of India, and its culture is still deeply rooted in India. The painter, Ramsingh Urveti, is known as a master among Gond artists. His paintings are characterized by delicate details and mysterious paintings. They are hand-silkscreen printed on handmade paper made from recycled old cloth that would have been discarded.
