Sashiko embroidered fabric is collectively called Kantha.
In regions such as Bengal, women have traditionally used sashiko stitching at home to layer old saris and old cotton cloth, creating designs that are typically Bengali, such as religious motifs, plants and animals that bring happiness, and everyday items.
Kantha, which takes several months to make, is now widely known around the world as a form of high-quality folk art.
At Pasand, we have created original pouches using a rally quilt, a technique of layering fabric and creating simple straight lines.
This pouch has a cute color scheme and is accented by manually wrapping thread around both sides.
*Patterns and colors are assorted and cannot be chosen.
*This product is not eligible for return.
