Block printing is one of the most iconic handicrafts of India.
The craftsman applies ink to a palm-sized wooden block and creates it one step at a time. The more colorful and intricate the pattern, the more layers of ink are required, resulting in a gentle texture that is unique to handmade products and cannot be produced by machine.
*As all products are printed by hand, there will be individual differences in the design, such as woodblock marks at the joints of the pattern, crooked patterns, ink splatters and smudges, and other characteristics that come from working with something that is handmade, as shown in the sixth image.
